Picture Book

Picture books are usually aimed at young children aged 3-7.  The pictures are just as important to the story as the text. They are often written in rhyme and are designed to be read aloud. These books are usually 24-32 pages in length.

Although picture books are usually aimed at preschoolers, some recently published books are aimed at older readers, but this is the exception to the rule.

The Storybook Lady

Once upon a time, as The Storybook Lady I was a professional storyteller, bringing children's books and folktales to life. Now decades later I am a book blogger. As the title implies, my favorite genre is children's literature. But I am a voracious reader and I review a variety of genres. Come back often to see the next chapter!
