Once upon a time, I combined my training in elementary education and my experience in community theater to become a storyteller. A storyteller is a walking talking storybook. My words provided the text and my facial expressions, gestures and pantomimes combined with the listeners imagination created the illustrations. I even had a ” book jacket”

Decades later, after raising my family, I had time to read to my hearts content. I have been tracking my reading on Goodreads for over a decade, reviewing every single title that I read. In 2023 I found out about sites that provided Advance Reader Copies of new books, and I haven’t looked back.

Social Media is a fantastic place to share my reviews, but it doesn’t provide the flexibility to create articles with holiday or theme reading lists, host blog tour stops, or feature author interviews.
What books will you find featured?
As the Storybook Lady name suggests, my favorite genre is children’s literature. I read everything from board board books for the toddlers to picture books, chapter books or middle grade. But I am a voracious reader and I read a variety of genres. As the blog grows you will find mostly Children’s books, Graphic Novels, Manga, Mystery, Romance and Fantasy. On this blog, I share honest, in-depth reviews of books across genres, This is where you will get the story on your next read!
